Elizabeth and Matt’s wedding was a magical winter celebration that perfectly captured the essence of their love story. It was the perfect day, from their Peachtree Road United Methodist Church wedding ceremony to their Guardian Works wedding reception.

These two are originally from Atlanta, where their love story started, so it was perfectly fitting to have their wedding in the city. Elizabeth’s best friend and Matt’s co-worker set them up on a blind date. Their friends certainly knew what they were doing because the rest has been history ever since then!

The moment I arrived at Elizabeth’s parents’ home, where the girls were getting ready, I could feel the warmth and excitement of the day. The house was filled with laughter and joy as Elizabeth and her bridesmaids, all in matching pajamas, prepped for the day ahead. Despite the chill in the air, the winter setting added a layer of romance to the entire day.

Elizabeth’s first look with her dad was one of the most touching moments of the day. Seeing his reaction to his beautiful daughter in her wedding dress was incredibly moving and set the tone for the coming heartfelt moments.

We made the most of the winter light by doing all the portraits before the ceremony. Even though it was a gloomy day, the photos turned out beautifully, with a romantic glow that only winter can provide. Elizabeth’s bridesmaids looked stunning in their navy blue dresses, complemented by white fur wraps that popped perfectly against the winter backdrop.

The trolley they got for transportation added a fun and unique touch, transporting the wedding party from one location to another. It was a great way to keep everyone together and in high spirits as we moved throughout their wedding day. And, of course, we couldn’t resist taking a few photos with the trolley!

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The church’s grand architecture provided a stunning backdrop for Matt and Elizabeth to exchange their vows. The ceremony was filled with love as they became husband and wife in front of their loved ones.

After the ceremony, we transitioned to their Guardian Works wedding reception. Guardian Works is a wedding venue just outside of downtown Atlanta. With its modern industrial feel, the space became a lush, romantic setting filled with florals and greenery. It was the perfect mix of elegance and contemporary style. The reception was a true celebration, filled with memorable moments and thoughtful details.

One highlight of the night was the late-night Chick-fil-A bite, a fun and unexpected treat for the guests. Instead of a traditional guest book, Elizabeth and Matt had a recording telephone, allowing guests to leave heartfelt messages – a unique and personal touch that I loved. The Mardi Gras-style fun brought an extra layer of festivity to the evening, with everyone joining in on the celebration. The live band kept the energy high, and it was clear that everyone was having a fantastic time at their Guardian Works wedding reception.

Matt’s love for spinning Elizabeth on the dance floor was evident during their first dance. It was a beautiful moment that showcased their joy and connection. The night ended with a grand exit – flower petals flying as Elizabeth and Matt left in a classic Cadillac Series 61. It was a picture-perfect ending to a beautiful day. I highly suggest everyone leave their wedding day in style with a cool car!

Elizabeth and Matt’s wedding was such a fun-filled day. They thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed every detail, making it a day to remember. I’m grateful for capturing all of these memories, which will be cherished forever.
