Traveling down from Nashville, Elizabeth and Matt met up with me for their engagement session at The Duck Pond over the weekend! They are both originally from Atlanta, and it’s actually where they met. Elizabeth’s best friend and Matt’s co-worker set them up on a blind date 4 years ago and the rest is history!

I just love these small parks tucked away in Atlanta for how private and quaint they are, allowing a little more privacy for portrait sessions. The Duck Pond reminds me of Winn Park (see an earlier engagement session here), but a little more open which is nice in overcast weather! We (mostly) had the park to ourselves! The forecast had called for rain the entire day, so we made the call to meet a few hours earlier than planned to avoid the heavy rain expected in the evening. I am SO happy we did because I saw nothing but dark skies on my drive home!

It was so wonderful getting to know these two and I am super excited for their early 2022 wedding in Atlanta!
