If you guessed on the homepage that my OG dream job was “crime scene photographer,” then either you’re psychic (congrats on that!), or we went to college together because you’re absolutely right! I know it’s weird, but I was on the true crime trend before it was cool, OK?
Just like me, my art and experience are a blend of powerful and soft, perfectly planned and “I never could have imagined!”
But before I ever started chasing any kind of photography career, I grew up part of that unique sisterhood who, when asked where they’re from, always said, “just outside Atlanta.” Snellville doesn’t really have the same ring, you know? And in a neighborhood filled with kids my age, we lived the dream.
We ran the local park (built by my dad), told ghost stories on my backyard trampoline, and went fishing with the same friends who would still be my 3 a.m. call today. And if we happen to go get margs after your engagement session, ask me about the “bull story” from a wild day on my granddad’s property!
While my husband and I did a brief three years in Texas, “just outside Atlanta” has always been the place I call home. So, when I graduated with a degree in commercial photography (and I decided maybe living, happy humans were more my thing), the couples and vendors who grew up like I did became my career. As they say, I guess the rest was history!
When I’m not meeting with new couples or puzzling together a photo timeline, I’m probably flipping through Instagram Reels to find tonight’s new dinner recipe, blasting Moana on the way to the playground with my son, or cozying in with my husband for an Adam Sandler movie night. Or maybe if momma gets to sneak away for a little “me” time, I’m pouring a glass of wine for a Titantic rewatch or a Toby Keith jam sesh.
But enough about me! It’s your love story I’m downright dying to tell! So, let’s talk a bit about exactly how I like to do it…
This life is wild, precious, and filled with joy.
With a style that’s radiant, relaxed, and really freakin’ fun, I capture the unmatched joy that bursts through on a wedding day. The couple, their family, and the friends that are basically family share something so special, and I’m honored to preserve it all for you! Whether this is your first “I do” or another try at love, I’m so proud of the soul-deep relationships my couples share. I use every trick in the book (and plenty I invented on my own!) to preserve your relationship as it truly is—laugh, happy tears, and all!
Because I’ve spent more than a decade collaborating with local vendors and venues, I’m probably friends with your planner, have met your florist, and know the best spot for a first look outside your venue. That makes your job (and mine!) so much easier!
While I always offer my honest opinion on an idea, your opinion matters most. And if you decide with your planner that we only have 10 minutes for family portraits, I’ll lay out the pros and cons and let you choose what matters most to you!
Does the idea of someone telling you exactly how to stand feel cheesy? Does the thought of someone saying, “just…go! Be yourselves!” feel terrifying? My approach falls neatly in between—you’ll get sincere images with some gentle direction to make sure you look your best, too!
Everything I offer—from the way I plan with you to the way I direct you—is about hyping you up and ensuring you feel confident every step of the way! We’ll plan so thoroughly you’ll never second-guess decisions, and we’ll be so tight by the wedding day that you’ll feel like a natural in front of my camera!
