Rivvi and Joe’s wedding at The Wimbish House Atlanta is here!
A modern take on the beginning of their love story: They connected online, and Rivvi was immediately drawn to Joe’s quick and clever responses. Joe, on the other hand, was eager to meet Rivvi’s dog. Their first date took place at a cozy wine bar, and Rivvi was captivated by Joe’s sarcastic sense of humor.
Their engagement story is equally heartwarming. Joe surprised Rivvi by taking her to a fancy dinner before a holiday party. Rivvi was a bit suspicious at first, but she had previously mentioned to Joe that she wanted their families to be present when they got engaged. So, she didn’t think he would propose and then make her go to a party with strangers. Little did she know, their families were secretly there anxiously waiting, and they were playing along by texting her outfit options for Christmas parties that night.
During the dinner, Joe suddenly became nervous and started a heartfelt speech, bringing up memories of fruit flies from their first date. It was then that Rivvi noticed a photographer nearby, and it all clicked. Joe got down on one knee and proposed, leaving Rivvi in shock. In her surprise, she just nodded her head instead of saying yes. Rivvi immediately started looking around for her family, only to be momentarily disappointed when she didn’t see them. But then, the waiter arrived with champagne and offered them a private dining experience upstairs. To Rivvi’s surprise, both of their families and her best friend were waiting in another room. The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with their loved ones, enjoying delicious food and drinks.
Back to their wedding day at The Wimbish House Atlanta… Rivvi and Joe shared a first look together and exchanged gifts before the ceremony. They kept their wedding parties small and intimate – but more importantly, can we talk about how amazing the red bridesmaids dresses are? I loved seeing such a bright, bold color incorporated in a wedding day.
One unique piece of their ceremony was Joe tying the Thali around Rivvi towards the end of the ceremony. It’s not often I get to witness different traditions in ceremonies, so this was so fun to see. After their first dances and heartfelt toasts, they partied the night away with entertainment by The Atlanta Wedding Band!
