Rebecca and Jack’s Summerour Studio wedding featured elements honoring their Jewish faith. Their family-centered Atlanta wedding embodied sophistication with chic details, abundant florals, and private moments.
You’ll find Summerour Studio in West Midtown Atlanta. The venue offers an open design, featuring an al fresco courtyard with lush greenery, all in all providing the feeling of a European wedding venue, hidden right in the heart of Atlanta.
In fact, it was in the stone courtyard that Rebecca and Jack shared a first look on their wedding day. Away from the eyes of their guests and before the signing of the Ketubah, the couple carved out an intimate experience together. This tender moment and the sweet embrace that followed emphasized the connection they share, expressing the profound importance of the day ahead as they prepared to solidify their journey together through marriage.

In the Jewish faith, prior to the wedding ceremony, couples hold a sacred yet intimate ritual known as the signing of the Ketubah. During this pre-wedding ceremony rite, the couple’s rabbi, along with their parents and a few select witnesses, are present as the couple reflects on their solemn commitment to enter into a marriage contract.
The signing of the Ketubah includes a brief ceremony that occurs before the couple officially inks their name onto their marriage contract. Taking place in a private room, tucked away from their Summerour Studio wedding, Rebecca and Jack’s Ketubah was read aloud as their parents bestowed blessings upon them. For Rebecca and Jack, this moment was overflowing with reverence and joy. Their signatures, along with their witnesses, were then added to the Ketubah, finalizing the sacred exchange.

One of many elegant details encompassing Rebecca and Jack’s Summerour Studio wedding was their floating Chuppah. Hanging from high above, the four-poster floral Chuppah was curated with green and white flowers. Another pivotal aspect of a Jewish wedding, the Chuppah represents the new home that Rebecca and Jack will build together as a married couple. The open concept of the Chuppah is to honor their commitment to welcoming friends and family by showcasing that their ‘door is always open ‘. This beautiful floral canopy also signifies to Rebecca and Jack the divine presence that covers them as they begin their lives together.
With Jack patiently awaiting his bride’s arrival, Rebecca made her way down the aisle, escorted by her mother and father. Under the Chuppah, the seven blessings were recited (Sheva Brachot), and Rebecca circled Jack seven times, symbolizing their creation of a new family circle. The betrothal blessing was bestowed upon them and thus solidified when they each drank wine from the Kiddish cup. After a pronouncement of marriage was made, Jack smashed the glass, and their guests erupted in a lively cheer of Mazel Tov.

At the start of the evening’s dinner, Rebecca and Jack’s grandparents recited the blessing of the Challah, signifying the start of the evening. Toasts and speeches were spoken in their honor, showering the newly married couple with love and affection from those who know them best. But it was on the dance floor where the day’s festivities reached new heights.
A celebratory Jewish wedding is one where the dance floor ignites with energy when guests lift the newlyweds into a Hora. Rebecca and Jack’s Summerour Studio wedding experienced an exhilarating dance floor with their friends and family circling them to the tune of Hava Nagila. This action-filled moment was an amazing way to commence their reception, setting the tone for a night of celebration, courtesy of a live band, focused on Rebecca and Jack.
As the evening drew to a close, Rebecca and Jack took to the dance floor one last time, for a private dance to close out their Summerour Studio wedding. As they swayed to the music, embracing each other as a married couple, their guests lined up to give them a whimsical send-off, filled with floating bubbles, to close out the night.
