I feel like only photographers would understand this, but you know when there is that one wedding that is just completely different than the others you’ve been at lately? This is it. Saemi and David’s wedding at Barr Mansion in Austin, Texas had all the pops of color and my heart was actually jumping for joy. Just the day before their wedding, I saw Saemi post on social media their table numbers and they were SO cute.
Austin will forever remain one of my favorite cities and holds a little meaning for my family. I usually make the trip solo, but I wanted to bring my husband and kiddo this time. Heading back for their wedding brought back all of the happy feelings we had when we lived there (fun fact, Liam was born in Texas!) I am always and forever looking for excuses to come back for a little work-vaca 😉
To recap this perfect, colorful, insanely wonderful day with the newest Mr. and Mrs. Lee, the day started off with something out of the ordinary. There was a little bow-tie fiasco with David’s tie and absolutely nobody – including myself – truly knew how to tie a tie… perfectly. Saemi was the ONLY one who knew how, but we didn’t want David to see her before the first look. We decided to tie *see what I did there* in a fun bow tie between the couple during their first look. Saemi perfected the tie, all while David’s eyes were clenched shut. All was well, and we solved the bow tie fiasco and moved on with their first look, where David was sure to show off the lining of hus custom suit.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, with the cutest flower girls and petal recessional. These newlyweds were ready for their reception, and I don’t blame them because it was one heck of a party!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lee!
