Mei Mei and Jacob’s Little River Farms wedding in Alpharetta, Georgia, was filled with timeless elegance and many unforgettable moments. From the moment I arrived at this charming venue, nestled just outside their hometown, I knew it would be a celebration to remember. The couple’s love story, which began in high school, made the day even more special as they finally said “I do” in front of their closest friends and family.

The day began with Mei Mei and her bridesmaids getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite at Little River Farms. I was amazed at Mei Mei’s attention to detail – she had prepared all her items for me to capture in flatlays, including a stunning bridal purse and lipstick. These small but significant details added a fun twist to the traditional bridal preparations and set the tone for the elegant day ahead.
What made this morning even more special was the fact that Mei Mei’s mother, a talented hair stylist, took on the role of creating her daughter’s bridal look. Seeing the love her mother put into styling Mei Mei and her bridesmaid’s hair was incredibly touching. The bond between Mei Mei and her mother was evident as she snuck in little hugs and wiped away a few tears of joy.
Before the ceremony, Mei Mei took a quiet moment to read a heartfelt letter and open a gift from Jacob. Their gifts were significant, as they each bought something during their joint bachelor/bachelorette trip to the Cayman Islands. Jacob received a sleek new watch, while Mei Mei received a beautiful single pearl necklace.
Little River Farms’ picturesque gazebo served as the backdrop for the ceremony. The gazebo was adorned with blue and white florals, creating a breathtaking scene. A wooden cross stood at the center, symbolizing the couple’s faith and floral arrangements lined the aisle, adding to the venue’s natural beauty.
As Mei Mei was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents, the emotions were evident. Jacob’s teary-eyed reaction was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever captured – this was the first time they had seen each other that day, as they had chosen to forgo a first look. In true Mei Mei fashion, she lightened the moment with a whispered, “Can I just kiss you already?!”
During the ceremony, Jacob and Mei Mei shared personal vows that had everyone in tears. They also included a unity candle ceremony, with their maid of honor and best man lighting the candles as a symbol of their union. As the guests joined in a moment of prayer, with hands raised, it was clear how much low and support surrounded this couple.
Their first kiss as husband and wife was met with an explosion of confetti, creating an epic and joyous scene that perfectly captured the excitement of the moment. This is definitely one of my favorite photos from their Little River Farms wedding.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the stunning grounds of Little River Farms to take their wedding photos. We, of course, took advantage of the gorgeous floral arrangements at the ceremony site, as it provided the perfect backdrop. The pond also made for some dreamy photos, and the addition of parasols added a playful and elegant touch to Mei Mei’s bridal party portraits.
What struck me most about Jacob and Mei Mei was their love for each other and their fun-loving personalities. Their wedding party was just as lively and joyful, making their portrait time a blast. A close-knit group of friends and family surrounds these two and adores them.
Their Little River Farms wedding reception was beautifully decorated with the same blue and white florals seen during the ceremony, gold Chiavari chairs, and abundant natural light pouring in through the windows. However, the vibe quickly transitioned from elegant to energetic as the couple opted for a “clubesque” atmosphere rather than a traditional reception.
Jacob and Mei Mei love to dance, and it showed! The dance floor was packed all night, with everyone joining in on the fun. In addition to heart-shaped glasses and glow wands distributed, Mei Mei dressed in a cute reception dress.
A highlight of the night was when Mei Mei dedicated her bouquet to her mother, a trend I’m seeing more of and absolutely love. She also had a separate bouquet to toss, which her sister-in-law excitedly caught. The couple also had a fun money-shooting device, adding an extra layer of excitement and laughter to the evening.
As the night drew to a close, the couple treated their guests to late-night bites – fries served in custom holders featuring a cute animation of the two of them. The celebration ended with a bubble exit, where Jacob and Mei Mei shared the perfect dip and kiss, a fitting end to their unforgettable Little River Farms wedding.
Every detail was carefully planned and executed, from the emotional ceremony to the lively reception. The vision for their big day came to life, and I feel so fortunate to have been a part of their wedding.
