Logan and Jimmy’s Cator Woolford Gardens wedding in Atlanta was absolutely beautiful and a fun-filled day! As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I’m excited to share how they planned their special day, highlighting the incredible features of this hidden gem wedding venue.
Cator Woolford Gardens, nestled within 39 acres of lush landscaping, is a testament to timeless beauty and Southern charm. It’s one of Atlanta’s few remaining estate homes, boasting Italian-style gardens that serve as the perfect backdrop for a wedding infused with elegance. The venue’s commitment to supporting Frazer Center’s nonprofit work for individuals with developmental disabilities adds a heartwarming touch to any celebration.
What sets Cator Woolford Gardens wedding venue apart is its all-inclusive rental package, accommodating both outdoor and indoor ceremonies. If you’re familiar with the good ole weather in the south, then you know rain can come and go pretty quickly. Thankfully, Cator Woolford Gardens has a thoughtfully crafted rain plan, ensuring your day goes off without a hitch. With a light-filled indoor atrium, they offer a seamless transition for those who prefer an indoor reception.

Jimmy and Logan had an easy decision when choosing Cator Woolford Gardens as their wedding venue. They started their day with a private first look and heartfelt vows exchanged in the gardens. Since they shared a first look, we had the luxury of exploring the myriad enchanting portrait locations at Cator Woolford Gardens before the ceremony, from the captivating allure of a grand staircase to discovering hidden gem spots in the gardens. There are genuinely so many locations that are picturesque.
Choosing a classic color palette, Logan’s bridesmaids wore mismatched gold dresses, while Jimmy’s groomsmen looked sharp in black suits. The floral arrangements, a mix of white, light pink, and greenery, perfectly complemented the garden-inspired setting. Logan’s dress, a stunning creation from Wedding Angels with floral appliques and an off-the-shoulder design, added an extra touch of class.
The breathtaking beauty of their garden ceremony location rendered no additional decorations or florals. This wedding venue truly speaks for itself. Jimmy’s sister officiated the ceremony, infusing it with a personal and heartfelt touch.
Opting to make the most of the outdoor space, Jimmy and Logan held their cocktail hour, dinner, and toasts in the gardens – an alfresco dining experience that added an extra layer of romance to their day. The sweetheart table allowed them to savor their first dinner as newlyweds while gazing at their guests.
As the night progressed, the celebration moved to the atrium, where they had their grand entrance and danced the night away. The atrium’s light-filled ambiance provided the perfect setting for their joyful festivities. They had the most incredible marquee letters that spelled out their last name that was on the dance floor. At the end of the night, their guests lined up with no-mess streamers – a creative alternative to traditional sparklers that added a whimsical touch to the end of the evening.
Logan and Jimmy’s Cator Woolford Gardens wedding was a true testament to love and the magic that happens when the perfect venue meets a couple’s unique vision. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite photos from their big day!
